Summer Softcore Kickball in Everett Thursdays

The last time Tyler Lockhart was on the field playing kickball was over year ago when he tore his ACL making a leaping catch. In his return Tyler wanted to show everyone he was back to full strength. Well Tyler was able to show his knee was no longer a hindrance as he was all over the field making many outs while playing his natural position of shortstop. Tyler's defense was so phenomenal that their opponents told everyone not to kick towards him which did not really work as Tyler was still able to reach many balls outside a normal person's range. Even though his team loss to the returning champs, Tyler was the bright star. A warning to future teams, even though Tyler has the knee brace, if you want to get on base do not kick the ball in the vicinity of Tyler.

Greg Wickline had one of those games that makes your mouth drop by his play. Greg was all over the field on defense as he had two put outs at first base and made three stellar catches. While Greg's defense was fantastic, his offense might have been better. Greg helped his team by getting on base three times which lead to four RBIs and a couple of runs. This was definitely Greg's best game which could not come at a better time as his team was looking for their first win. If the Stinkers and Greg continue with this type of play they will be winning many more games.

Kyle Odland is the Player of the Week this week. In Peanut Butter Jelly Time's 13-5 win, it was Kyle who broke the game open early belting a grand slam to left field. As it turned out, that slam would be all PBJT would need to pull out the win. Just to make sure, Kyle decided to have a great game at 1st base as well. He was in position and caught or stopped every throw and wild throw that came his way. His contributions made sure that PBJT was never threatened and that they got the win. Congratulations Kyle on being the Player of the Week!

"Handsome" is our player of the week for the first week of playoffs as he came up big for Ballsagna in their comeback victory over the Bad News Beers. Kevin contributed greatly to Ballsagna's 9 runs with a 4-4 showing with 1 run. He also finished off the comeback with the game winning catch in a pressure situation. Ballsagna might not have been able to complete the comeback without the help of "Handsome". Congratulations Kevin "Handsome" Bladow on being the Player of the Week!

Lightning McQueen struck on a night where lightning was flashing all around as Danny Graham is the Player of the Week! In the Midcore Championship game, Danny reached base 4 times and scored all 4 times to earn half of Field My Ball's 8 runs in their 8-0 victory. Danny had great knowledge of how far he could get in a certain play and when to put on the breaks or push the envelope and gun for an extra base. His extra hustle contributed greatly to the big win for FMB. Congratuations Danny on being the Player of the Week!
