The summer playoffs for Underdog Kickball in Everett were extremely fun and competitive this season. From the first game of the evening to the last, all teams were having a great time trying to advance towards the finals. When the dust had settled it was the #1 seed Green Peppers facing off against the #2 seed Whammy Time. The Championship game was very fast paced due to some great defense on both sides of the ball, but in the end it was Whammy Time with some very very well placed kicks and aggressive baserunning that helped them take the lead for good. Jason VanHollenbeck of Whammy Time had 2 triples and provided enough run support on his own to make his mark in the final 8-2 victory! Congrats to Whammy Time, League Champs!

Finally a perfectly beautiful day for kickball in Everett with no wind! Amazing! It was Whammy Time facing off against The Ballers in the last game of the evening. The Ballers were looking for their 3rd consecutive victory while Whammy Time was playing for potential playoff seeding advantage. Whammy Time came out of the batter's box running and never looked back while racking up an amazing 20-2 victory. By far the biggest exclamation point on this victory was the huge grand slam shot by Jason Rogers of Whammy Time. His big boot put the game permanently out of reach and made a statement heading into the upcoming playoffs! Congrats to Jason Rogers, Player Of The Week!
What a beautiful day it was for kickball on Thursday as Whammy Time squared off against Challengers. Whammy Time came onto the field with a mission, while Challengers came in banged up & injured . . . a recipe for disaster! Whammy Time jumped out to a first inning lead which they would not give back or let up the entire game. When all the dust had settled and it was all said and done, it was Whammy Time winning in a decisive 20-0 victory. Whammy Time's player of the game was Jackie Rogers with a 4-for-4 showing at the plate placing bunts and dropping shots all over the place! Not only that she had the game's signature defensive play when Challengers' power kicker drove a deep hard shot right at her. What looked to be a sure base hit she caught with little to no effort! Amazing! Congrats to Whammy Time and to Jackie Rogers - Player Of The Week!!!
