POTW: Kristin Parker
POTW: Kristin Parker
Indy #2
The first week of Shamrock Soccer saw a lot of good play in the short-sided format. Players adapted quickly to the quick pace and the emphasis on passing. Kristin was all over the field for indy two - providing strong defense from a back position, and deftly distributing when the ball was dropped to her. She also went forward on many plays, and had the best goal of the day, taking the ball 5 yards out, turning and scoring around a defender.

POTW: Orange Team
POTW: Orange Team
Indy #1
Instead of picking one player of the Orange Indy#1 side, it seems appropriate to nominate the whole team as Players of the Week. Up against a strong and determined E&A team, Orange played a balanced game that included pressure defense, crisp passing, and great flow. Players were filling spaces, and timely balls found them more often than not. Orange scored on transition plays, and in more methodical sets against a good E&A defense. It was a great second week of play for an indy team.

POTW: Stacy Cho
POTW: Stacy Cho
Madness - Indy #2
It was a solid Saturday of games. And while honorable mention has to go to Matthew Chatam for his all around match for Blue Balls against Indy #1, the player of the week was definitely Stacy Cho. Tallying her first two goals of the season, she also had the most dramatic. With the game tied Stacy took a pass left of the goal, close to the endline. Her shot didn't have a lot of pace on it, but it glanced off the goal post and rolled in from the tough angle, putting Madness up 4-3 with only seconds remaining in the game. Her goal put an end to the SWAT momentum, who had engineered quite a comeback to pull even at 3 in the second half. It was easily the most exciting and well played game of the season, thus far.

POTW: Ken La Fayette
POTW: Ken La Fayette
Crush-Indy #1
Crush had another great team offensive showing with constant passing and timely cuts. Ken La Fayette was the main beneficiary, going for a hat trick as the game's top scorer. Running hard in transistion, Ken was rewarded as his teammates found him on the fly for open looks that he cleverly converted from tough angles.

Madness - Indy #2
Josh, in his 'limited' Madness appearances, always impressed. For the playoffs, he brought the goods - showing a level of ball handling and playmaking that left some strong defenders in the dust. He tallied multiple goals in the semi and final - and it was his disruptive presence on offense that allowed Madness to attack so efficiently.
