The Indy team Randy Johnson's Ill-Fated Bird ran away with the softcore title on Sunday. They capped off a productive season by easily handling both opponents they faced in the day's playoff matchups. The team was carried by its stellar offense, winning both the semifinal and championship games by double digits. A championship is a feat rarely accomplished by an Indy team, making Sunday's results that much more impressive!

In the spring league finale at Hiawatha Sunday night, Belltown Pub came ready to play and secure an undefeated season and the championship. Coming off their 26-run onslaught in the semifinal game, the Red Machine hoped to spoil the celebration. But in the end, the Pub would take home the prize.
Clearly functioning as team, Belltown Pub combined the excellent pitching of Tony and stellar defense to post four shutout innings. Mixed with an offense that scored in each inning, the Pub led from the beginning and never looked back.
Asked who the MVP was for the season, the manager replied that the whole team was for their consistent play and for capping an undefeated season with the most important win, the championship.
