Carissa had a huge day, in leading the Mediocre Allstars to a 3 games to none victory over the Grass Passers. Her net play gave the Allstars a huge advantage as she had several hard spikes that kept the game out of reach.
Not only did Adam bring his adorable baby to help cheer the team on, but he brought his "A" game as well. Adam showed off his skills all over the court with quick serves, awesome bumps, on target sets and some killer spikes. He was a true all around player.
If anyone were to walk up to Jimmy's game and watch him play, they would never be able to guess this is one of his first times playing on a rec volleyball team. Though, yes, there are some flaws in his sets and his passes can have a mind of their own, his kills are a thing of beauty.
Dave was the big man at the net tonight. His team described him as being like an octopus because he covered the net so well it was like he had 8 arms. He might have shown up a little late, but he made up for it with a very stellar performance.
Pow Er House!!! Ken was on fire tonight with many amazing kills that saw little resistence before hitting the ground. With his 6'6" standing height he was already able to get on top of the ball, but when you add his jump, there is no doubt that ball was going to hit near the ten foot line (or closer). Ken also had many great serves and some killer passes.
Aaron was a man of many talents tonight. He served many aces, spiked many kills and sacrificed his body for many awesome digs. He showed true dedication to the championship match and definitely was a big part in his teams victory.
