The pink shirts won their semi-final match against the One Kick Wonders and were ready to battle T-Ballin for the final. In a game that would stay close for 6 innings, We've Got The Runs started out great with a 5-run 1st inning--with all the runs scoring with 2-outs. They added some great D when the girl playing third caught a rocket line-drive and when the outfielder did a self-tip to make a great rally ending out in the 4th. The Runs added a 2-run triple in the top of the 7th where they scored a total of 7-runs to really put the game away and earn their first kickball title. A great effort and well deserved victory.
Christy put on a clinic at first base making great catches and great stretches to record numerous outs [some very close] in both the semi-final and final games. She also added some offense with big kicks to the outfield and precision bunts when needed. In her two games, including a championship victory, she tallied at least 6-runs and just as many RBI's to truly "lead by example" and show everyone how the game can be played. Just a great effort, great attitude and great result for Christy and her team on Sunday.
