Thomas played a key role in both of his team's wins on Sunday. As pitcher, he kept the ball in play and the game moving with great pitches down the middle. He also made some great throws to first limiting the number of runners for the opposition. On offense, he gets a nice twist on his big kicks leading to a 2-game total of at least 8-RBI's with almost as many runs scored.It was just a total effort on both sides of the ball but just all in a day's work for Thomas.
Christine earned this week's Player of the Week for her outstanding efforts on the offensive, defensive, and "sportsmanship" sides of the ball. Her first at-bat didn't go so well, getting a little over-excited and crushing it well in front of the plate (twice!), but by her third time up she was a seasoned pro. She stepped up in the bottom of the fifth, her team tied in a 5-5 struggle, and crushed a ball just over the short-stop's head. She tumbled into first base just for good measure, then slipped and crawled her way to second after her teammate kicked her forward. She came around to score what would be the go-ahead run much to everyone's delight. Christine was a joy to have around and really lifted everyone's spirits. Congrats!
