Team Poop Boy
Team Poop Boy (interesting name choice) came out this season ready to roll. They brought their spirit and their 'A' game from the start. It's almost as though they have been practicing their team photo pose all summer because it was right on. The second and third pictures were pretty darn good too. It's already clear to me who will win the spirit award this season. And even though they didn't win the first game, they won the overall match so it's possible that they have started their run towards the championship early. Furthermore, someone on the team bowled their best game ever last night. I'm assuming it was Holly because she had such an awesome score of 172 in game 2. If not, I apologize but pass the congratulations on to your teammate, Holly!

Fractured wrist and first game of the season, Will came back from last season with a vengeance. He opened the first game with an almost capped but not quite 204 followed by a not as good 149 in game 2. He pushed through the pain and flicked his broken wrist around for exercise in between frames. Teach me, Will!!

POTW: Stan and Kate
Roy Munson's Illegitimate Kids
We have a duo of the week situation going on this week. Kate and Stan bowled like nobody's business and while they didn't win the overall match, their scores led their team to a second game victory. Let's start with Stan, shall we...

Stan decided it would be a good idea to start the game off with a strike...followed by another strike...and while he was at it, he decided to make it a turkey...followed up with another strike. I think you get the idea. This went on for the first seven frames straight. Stan was on track for a perfect game when he was thrown off by distractions from the Imperial staff that threw him all out of whack and killed his perfect game dead. He still ended up with a 244, which is pretty impressive in my book.

Moving on. Kate displayed quite the skills whilst she bowled her way to a personal best of a 164, which is nearly twice her average. Kate's technique and form were right on as she gave everyone else in her area a free lesson in bowling. I hope they were taking notes.

Stan and Kate together are the bomb.com.

POTW: Meredith Steiner
Team Poop Boy
I'm sort of guessing here but I think it's Meredith that travels up from Portland on a weekly basis in order to be a part of this bowling league. That is some Underdog dedication. While I don't understand the whole theory behind team Poop Boy, they seem to have a lot of fun. Happy birthday Poop Boy, I hope you had a good one. I hope you enjoyed Tutta Bella.

Gutt'r Dun
John Schack came ready to Gutt'r Dun this week. In his first game he bowled a season high of 181. He came in to the night feeling solid and ready to roll the ball straight. He felt the key to his success was the many strikes and many spares he bowled...not to mention the mainly "shapely beers" he mixed in. He closed out all but two frames. Way to Gutt'r Dun!

Sunset Forever
What a nice, fun, awesome, happy, smart (on and on) group of people this team is. They make friends wherever they go and take lots of shots along the way. They are always cheering, irregardless of which team is getting the strike or spare. Pretty much, they are my favorite. Maybe I am not supposed to say that. Well, I said it. True story, though. They really are fantastic. If you haven't met them or bowled with them...you probably should. Oh yeah, and they won the spirit award. Obviously.
