Sam Siedlecki
Sam Siedlecki
Cabbage Patch Digs
Congratulations to Sam Siedlecki, you're the player of the week! This week Sam's attitude really stood out to me. I was so happy to watch her play volleyball this week. She was hitting the ball down getting some solid kills and racking up the points, On defense, she was passing well and setting the ball like an all-star! Here is an encouraging quote for you while you head into next few weeks!
“Press on – nothing can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Perseverance and determination alone are omnipotent.”
– Calvin Coolidge

Page Eaton
Page Eaton
Unprotected Sets
The Underdog player of the week is Page Eaton from Unprotected Sets! This week it was really good competition but I thought that Page played really hard while having fun and being a light on the court. She was filled with high energy and excitement all night whether they were losing or winning, It was really nice to see them come back and win the two games at the end, She played good and was happy all night, it made it really interesting to watch. Keep up the good work and good luck next week!

James Lim
James Lim
Indy #V9
Congratulations to James Lim on being the player of the week. James played really good games this week. He was very encouraging as well as being mentally prepared for each game. With his high energy, James was able to make great passes, sweet sets, and aggressive attacks. Not only was he playing well but he also was being goofy while keeping the games fun for his team. They were close to the winning the last game but barely fell short to a 25-27 loss. Great job this week James and good luck on next weeks games!

Francis Cohen
Francis Cohen
Serves You Right
Congratulations to Francis Cohen for being the play of the week! Not only did he play amazing this week but it was also his birthday. Here is a quote to make you feel a little better about what is already a wonderful day, "You're not getting older, you're getting better!" This quote speaks volume to not only his life but the way he was playing on the court. He was able to put the ball away when his team needed him to and made some sweet sliding passes to save the team from missing a point. Great job this week birthday boy. Keep up the great work and good luck next week!

Jamie Almer
Jamie Almer
One-Eyed Captain of the Night!
Along with Jamie's great plays at the net, and awesome serves, her contact slipped and she played most of the first game with only one eye functioning.

Her team, Bump, Set, Pow!, rallied around their fearless Captain, though she was still able to keep their spirits up! Jamie is an awesome Captain, and a True Underdog. If you get a chance, meet Jamie and ask for tips on one-eyed Volleyball!

Molly Betz
Molly Betz
Just really big digs
Molly is known on her team for her very loud, but often incorrect in/out calls. She has perfected the iiiii...out call, but even that is not always accurate. Her teammates listen some times and everyone gets a kick out the attempts made.

This, however, is not the only thing that Molly brings to her team. Tonight she played a very scrappy game and saved multiple balls from dropping just over the net as well as other great defensive plays. In the front row, Molly fills the shoes of setter with ease and also packs a good punch when she swings.

Molly is a great player, cheerer and an ok in/out caller and for that, I give her the title of POTW.
