Late Spring Midcore Kickball at Mountlake Terrace Wednesdays

Aaron brought the lead foot. He put on an offensive display going 3 for 3 with 2 homeruns and 7 runs kicked in. Impressive!
His final kick, a grand salami in the 5th, proved to be the eventual game winner as his Kick This! squad repelled a late comeback attempt by Caught In The Zipper.

In true Underdog spirit, many of this week's great on-field performances didn't necessarily come from the winning team. Take Scott DeSota from the Iron Ballerinas of Doom. The Ballerinas were playing a close one until one rough inning turned the game into a blowout. That didn't stop Scott from having a breakout game, though. Besides a few solid defensive plays at third, Scott had a couple of huge kicks, including one solo home run and another memorable play at the plate in which he vaulted over a well thrown ball to just miss it and score safely.

In the Championship game it was Caught In The Zipper squaring off against the top seeded team Do You See What Happens Larry?. Caught In The Zipper jumped out to a quick lead in the first inning and were unwilling to give "Larry" any room to breathe. Just when "Larry" would start to string a couple hits together it was the clutch defense of Greg Morrill from Caught In The Zipper which would put that inning to bed with little to no damage done. Greg had a nice double and was responsible for 2 of the 7 rbi's, but he made his real mark on the game with 3 huge clutch catches for outs to kill innings along with any chance for the #1 seed to come back. Caught In The Zipper held on for a final 7-6 victory to take home the title! Congrats Caught In The Zipper and Greg Morrill, Player Of The Week!!!
