In the end, it wasn't that close. From start to finish of this final season of 2006, the Pickup Artists proved to be an untouchable opponent. The playoffs were no different. In Game 1, led by MVP Clare Liebig's 195, the Artists stemmed off the challenge from the upstart Loose Frames team. In the other semi-final, the Knudson's fell to the team from the south, the Dirty Birds.
Before the final game, the concern on the Dirty Birds' faces was apparent. I told them not to be initimidated; or they've beat them before they started. Unfortunately, their new-found confidence was no match for the Artists' experience, as they rolled to a win in the championship behind Liebig's 204.
