Karen Troung
New Kicks on the Block
After watching Karen's performance in New Kicks on the Block's first game of the season, you would never of guessed she was a kickball rookie. Karen seemed to be on base every time up with her well placed kicks. On defense, she showed off her sure hands on a dangerous fly ball to the outfield, just like a veteran. Great game Karen and good luck the rest of the season!

OJ Anderson
Entercommies
OJ carried his Entercommie teammates with his clutch kicks and undying team spirit.
Early in the game with the score still within reach, OJ delivered a dagger with a kick that brought in the eventual game winner. Even more fun to watch were his fist pumps and team energy, clearly having a great time just out on a sunny day playing kickball with his friends and co-workers!

Catie Beck
Entercommies
Nothing was going to stop Catie Beck from giving her all on the diamond. Not even the fact that she had three kickball games to play on this evening, at two different locations. Catie provided stellar defense as she was aware of each and every scenario at hand. While teams expected her to bunt, she belted well placed grounders to the hot corner and caught the 3rd basemen off guarded on several occasions. So good and determined was Catie, you good see her blood, sweat and tear all over her jersey. Talk about wearing it on your sleeve...

James Stickney
Kick Tease
Absolute superstar. That is James of Kick Tease. Not only does he fly around the field snagging fly balls and have a rocket cannon for an arm, James can also absolutely crush the ball. Prime example was the 3 run shot he launched on Tuesday night. Congrats James, you are our Player of the Week!!

Josh Claeys
Kick Tease
Unstoppable. That is what Josh was on Tuesday night. First at-bat, 3 run homer. Second at-bat, 3 run homer. Third at-bat, 2 run triple. At the end of the night, Josh drove in 9 runs total. An unbelievable performance that no one will soon forget. Amazing game Josh!!
Spencer capped off an extremely exciting game with a simple pop down the first base side to score the winning run. The game features lead changes just about every inning, with Son of a Pitch recording their first win of the season.. and there was much rejoicing!

Roger Cave
This isn't Football?
Roger wins this weeks for his beautiful performance on the base path. Roger managed to hit 3 home runs and bring in 5 rbis. But his best play this week came on a routine single with a man on 1st and roger over ran the bag to watch for an overthrow to second. Well that overthrow happened and roger didn't pay attention and got thrown out a foot away from the bag. Good job roger.

Bryce W.
New Kicks on the Block
New Kicks surged to the lead early in the game with a big 5 run inning. It was Bryce that helped them maintain that lead though. With their opponents threatening, the kicker placed a ball well into center field. Bryce went back and made a Willie Mays style over the shoulder catch for the out to keep the lead safe for the New Kicks.

Josh Claeys
Kick Tease
Josh had a huge offensive game with 2 triples and a home run for 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored. On defense he had the play of the night with a running, juggling just amazing catch.
Michaela, normally a shy and quiet kickballer, made big noise on playoff night with some crafty kicks and a huge defensive play to end the game.
With a 2-run lead in balance and the tying run at the plate with a concrete club for a foot, she stood her ground as a Clint Dempsey-esque rip of a kick came barreling at her.
Not only did she make an attempt on it but she snared it with a true grit look on her face, saving the playoff hopes of the #1 seed, and ending the late comeback attempt of her opponents.
Great job Michaela!
Monica the magnificent came up with the greatest, most critical play of the day. It was the last inning and son of a pitch was threatening to make a comeback when the kicker with 2 outs kicks a BOOT to left field. It appeared to be a shot that would have scored multiple runs, but Monica put herself into catching position and sealed in an almost winning kick. It was an amazing game saving catch!
Dan W was just one of the many superstars on New Kids on the Block. Dan stood out a little more than his teammates by kicking an epic grand slam down the first base line that landed on the base line. With his Dan was able to clear the bases that ensured his team the championship.
