Opening day jitters plague almost any player. A little bit of sweat on your brow, your hands start to feel wet and you get anxious to swing the bat. Not one person can be immune to these jitters, but it is how you deal with them to show what you are made of. Sarah Shults not only caught a perfect game, meaning the umpire didn't get hit(wink wink), but also got on base at an astonishing 1.000 on base percentage, but also scored while on base each time from first base. Yes, that is only 180 field of running. We all do that constantly, but Sarah was doing this on regular, routine singles. Now that is some get up and go folks. Now while doing all of this playing/running/catching she not only kept a great positive outlook, but inspired her team to a victory through her voice and leadership.

Spirit won player of the week this week. Toni Sutton inspired her team to a better result than her team had done as of yet. She ran with a speed that the road runner would be jealous of. She kept laughing and encouraging her team to enjoy the game despite losing to the G-Unit.

On the first day of the Queen Anne playoffs, Jessica Ivey led Winner Buys Beer to two stealer victories to catapult the number one seated team to the Softcore finals. Pitching in two consecutive games Jessica threw seven shutout innings with three strikeouts. She also helped her own cause with an offensive performance of Dontrell Williams. With an animalistic glare Jessica crushed 7 hits with 3 RBIs and 4 runs. But, keeping true to the team name she offered both Here for Beer and the Bad News Beers all they could drink at Olympic Pizza after the games. As she was carried off by the other teams, Jessica's teammates chanted "Jessica is a dear, she will buy us all BEER!" Hey, I just report it, I don't write it.
