Winter Midcore Volleyball at First Baptist Mondays

After losing game one, We Dig Your Balls needed an infusion of energy. Alex stepped up with tremendous force and was a major presence at the net and on the court. Hustle play after hustle play stoked We Dig Your Balls' fire! The other team's offense attacks were denied countless times by Alex's blocks and jousts. He was unstoppable from behind the service line and kept the momentum he had helped build.

The energy, confidence, and hustle Alex exerted no doubt helped his team dominate game 2 of their match.

It takes no training to be on A Team Has No Name, just a willingness to play hard, no matter how impenetrable the other team's wall at the net is.
Rosie encaptulated the Underdog spirit and was anything but a witch to her newest teammate! Welcoming her into the fold and getting her up to speed on the game plan. Rosie was a natural leader and her communication, positive spirit, and all out effort every week cannot be over thrown. We see A Team Has No Name growing strong each week, thanks to Rosie!

Block after solid block, Joe of Everything Butt Sets left everyone in attendance in a state of awe. With his brick-wall approach to the net, he said "not today" to the other side's formidable attacks. Joe's performance was definitely something to behold. Ultimately, his energy on the court along with his refined net skills helped aid his team to success. Congratulations Joe!

On occasion, sports offer a platform for an athlete to transcend the competition and the game played. Such was the case when Melissa Mulick of Dream Team 2.0 transcended volleyball with her phenomenal performance. Melissa’s teammates turned to her when they knew they needed a kill on a play. Time and time again, Melissa answered the call, recording what seemed like 10 kills per game along the way. She was relentless with her swings and the other team just couldn’t keep up. For her stellar championship game performance, Melissa is our Player of the Week! Congratulations!
