Spring Midcore Volleyball at First Baptist Mondays

Rishi is a very strong competitor in volleyball and a great friend to his team and people around him. He is great at just about everything in the game from passing, setting, hitting, blocking, serving, etc. This Monday his team only had 5 players but still came out on top with his help. The team Spike Place Market played against is also a skilled team but couldn't push the ball for enough where Rishi couldn't save or block it. Rishi really put in his all on the court with his great talk, positive attitude , and play. Awesome Job Rishi! You deserve some recognition.

Tonight was a night of serves! Nearly every match of the evening had someone going on a run with a wild and crazy serve. The best one of the night, however, goes to Harbin. He had this zinger of a serve that left some opponents running for the hills. Harbin is a fun player to watch all around because he has both skill and a great attitude. His height definitely gives him an advantage at the net, but the fact that he really knows how to use it makes him that much better. When it comes to his great attitude, Harbin always seems to be smiling on the court and laughing with his teammates.

Our POTW this week went above and beyond his call of duty. From supplying some much needed muscle to tighten up the net, to getting the last three points in the first game! Zach Murphy is in the spotlight this week for his amazing communication, helping hand, and great judgement on numerous calls. He consistently stayed vocal, telling his team where he was and if he needed a hand, maintaining great communication on the entire team which helped lead to their three wins! He was there for the ball without fail when he was needed, and showed numerous accounts of great judgement when calling balls out and making the choice not to go for it or helping a teammate do the same. Great team playing with great results, and it's awesome to see such great communication on the courts. Great job Zach!
