Second Place

Summer Co-ed Beach Volleyball at Golden Gardens Mondays

Monday, August 18

POTW: Brad Stevenson

Mad Ups

Brad was an all around great player. He dominated the net with his kills and had a fabulous diving save in their first match against Timothy and Friends that ended in a kill.

Monday, August 11

POTW: Rachel Sacramento

Mad Ups

If you wonder where California got the name for it's capital, you should have shown up for the intense match between Nice Try and Mad Ups to watch Rachel. Although they only had a chance to play 2 games, the third would not have mattered. Rachel dominated the base line with a total of 12 aces and who even knows how many kills. In just serves, she earned her team more than 25% of their points. I am sure next week there will be a guest appearance by Gov. Schwarzenegger to complete the capital name, Rachel Sacramento.

Monday, July 28

POTW: Brad Stevenson

Mad Ups

Brad Stevenson woke up the day of his big match against the dreaded golddiggers just an ordinary man, but went to bed that night a legend. During the match Brad brought his game face. The rest of the Mad Ups were no exception. They played their hearts out diving, setting, hitting, and blocking. By the end of 3 matches, Mad Ups swept the tourny. An even bigger number than 3 is 47. 47 blocks were made by the "Net-O-Matic." That's right, Brad "Net-O-Matic" Stevenson earned his names in the book of legends with a whopping 47 blocks that day. I can't wait to see what the Net-O-Matic will get next week.
