First Place

Spring Co-ed Softball at Queen Anne Monday/Wednesday

The semi-final game between the Storm and the C-Hawks was a lesson in team work and determination. The Storm rolled to a 33 to 4 victory setting themselves up for a shot at the league title. The Storm carried that momentum over into the championship game with the Bad Newz Bears leading by 6 runs after the 2nd inning. The Bad Newz Bears battled back scoring 8 runs in the 4th inning and only trailed by 1 run heading into the 5th inning. The Storm responded strongly in the bottom of the 5th scoring another 4 runs to go ahead by 5 runs. The Bad Newz Bears only mustered 1 run in the 6th and needed 4 runs to tie and 5 runs to pull ahead. Very strong pitching and defense by the Storm put the finishing touch on what would be one of the most exciting league championship games in Underdog history. Holding the Bad Newz Bears to no runs in the top of the 7th put the game away for good.

POTW: Seattle Storm

Seattle Storm

The Seattle Storm really brought the thunder and lightening in Wednesday night's championship game against the Bad Newz Bears.Strong hitting and superb pitching paved the way for what turned out to be one of the best team efforts that I have been a part of. Under constant attack from the Bad Newz Bears all game, they fought off each threat, remained composed and delivered in the clutch when they needed to. Absolute incredible team effort and one that will not be forgotten for a very long time.

POTW: Gentry Davis

Seattle Storm

Seattle Storm wasted no time breaking into Underdog Softball Leagues on Monday night, blasting their way to two consecutive victories. Gentry Davis led the way, riding 2 doubles, 3 RBI's and batting 4-5 to give the Storm their 2nd win. Unrelenting offensive power by Gentry kept the other teams at bay as he scattered hits in left, right and center field. Great game Gentry!
