Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Softball on Capitol Hill Mondays

Tonight was the end to a great season in which 3 teams all had 1 loss. Meeting in the finals was Frank and Boozers vs the Seattle Storm. Earlier in the regular season the Boozers beat the Storm, but this night was a different story. The Storm capitolized on some mistakes early for an 11 run first inning and never looked back. Congrats on becoming the Champs !!

Storm Rolls In

Gentry Davis was superb at the plate and in the field helping to lead the Storm to another run away victory. On a night when many of her male counterparts shined, she held her own and shined as well going 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs. Her play in right field was equally impressive and help hold Indy This to 3 runs. Kudos to Gentry!!

Monday, June 13

POTW: Eileen Norton

Seattle Storm

Eileen put on a skillful display of hitting against the eBaggers on Monday night. She batted 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles to lead Seattle Storm to a run away win. Great hitting placement and knowing where to put the ball in play was key to her great night at the plate. Kudos to Eileen and the hitting machine that is the Seattle Storm.

Monday, May 9

POTW: Matt Heuer

Seattle Storm

Matt was able to make it to the second game of the doubleheader and he wouldn't let his team down. Going 5 for 5 even batting left handed once. Going 5 for 5 is a highlight in itself but Matt hit a bomb that still might be up in the air. He hit a 3-2 pitch over the fence and off the back fence of the tennis court. Close to 450+ feet. After the crack of the bat everyone just watched it go. Great job Matt, keep it up.

Monday, April 18

POTW: Zach Habner

Seattle Storm

This weeks player of the week goes to Zach Habner for his stellar play at first-base helping his team slow the opponent. He made great catches with scoops, stretches, with all around solid "D". He also knocked in the runs with 2 homers and 2 other deep base hits. Great game Zach!
