Fall Co-ed Softball at Lower Woodlands Wednesdays

For slow pitch softball no-hitters are non existant. But what Carrie did for 5 innings was truely amazing. She pitched 5 scoreless innings, and only allowed 4 runs total. The M's are sending scouts next game to figure out who the woman is. They need someone to take Bedards spot and Carrie will fill in just fine. Great Job Carrie

You could watch Sportscenter or Baseball Tonight every single night for a month without seeing a catch like Mary made out in LF on Wednesday night. She was off like a shot with the crack of the bat, tracking the ball the whole way. She laid out, made the grab, and rolled into foul territory. AMAZING. Way to go Mary!

When we talk about the characteristics that define a great Underdog, we usually overlook toughness. KC reminded us all on Wednesday night that it might just be the most important tool of all.

After taking a foul tip off the face, she took a quick breather to stop the bleeding and promptly came back into the game just in time to drive in the game-tying run in the 6th inning. Empty Pitchers would go on to win in walk-off style (thanks to Jihan Anderson's clutch performance). Any other week would have seen Jihan as POTW, but this time the teammates deserve to share the honor. They combined to give us all the courage, toughness, grit, and results you'd want from an Underdog champion.

Stephanie had an amazing week. In Kate's Pub's first game she had a bases clearing triple and a bunch of RBIs. She continued that in the championship game ending up with RBIs in the Double Digits. Great games Stephanie.
