Fall Co-ed Dodgeball at Ingraham Mondays

Michelle Atkins is a prime time player. She looked like she was in mid season form ducking and dodging balls with ease. She was consistently the last person on her team and she made some great catches to get her teammates back in the game. She helped her team win games and I heard them cheering her on (they were loud)! Great job Michelle.

Player of the Week goes to Casey Neuberger from team Huck's Herniators. Casey played a vital part of the 10-1 obliteration put on team Last Kid Picked. It seemed like Casey was picking on the last kid picked as she was knocked out players left and right...but it was an amazing catch, in left and right arms respectively, that earned Casey this prestigious recognition. Mind you, this wasn't accomplished in the back court, where the weaker or timid players like to meekly hide themselves, this spectacular athletic achievement was done about 10 feet from the mid-court line!!!! Congratulations Casey for earning not only her first player of the game, but her first PLAYER OF THE WEEK!!!

Jeanette Gatlin edges out Balls 'N' Dolls Taylor Loomis as this week's Player of the Week. Honorary mention goes to Taylor for his ricochet diving catch in their loosing effort to Ouch in the nightcap. It was Jeanette Gatlin though who wins this weeks award! In a barn burner, team Big Buck and team Chug Life were tied at 3-3 going into the final game. It was down to a 1 on 3 matchup with miss Gatlin being the lone hope for Chug Life...just the way she planned it. With a surging attack, Jeanette won the 1 on 3 matchup finishing the game with an impressive diving kill!!! Jeanette Gatlin brings new meaning for fearing the UNDERDOG. Congratulations Chug Life in outstanding dodgeball in Monday's triple header, and to Jeanette Gatlin for being Player of the Week!!!!

This week's player of the week is awarded to Christopher Grant from team Last Kid Picked. Tune in to this evening edition of eleven o'clock ESPN and you'll find Chris as a top play nominee with not one, but two award deserving catches! Team Last Kid picked was falling under attack from the barrage of laser beams from Huck's Herniators, but that didn't stop Chris from catching a bullet in his arm pit as he was diving BACKWARDS. Even after hitting the floor Chris managed to keep the ball from touching the floor! However, the following play may as well be the greatest dodgeball catch this official has yet to EVER witness: The ball was delivered by Mark Snyder, considered the league's "Nolan Ryan" if you will, our own
Seattle Express." The ball ricocheted off Chris's chest like most lasers did, floated up and crossed nearly the entirety of the court deemed "in play." Mr. Grant never gave up and caught the ball with a FULLY EXTENDED DIVE. If this literary replay hasn't sunk in yet, let me re-emphasize: Christopher Grant gave a fully extended dive successfully catching the ball on a HARD-WOOD COURT.

Mr. Grant, you most absolutely deserve this week's Player of the Week!!!!
