I've seen a lot of things in my time with Underdog. I've seen teams do double duty, playing two or more sports at the same time, sometimes even in the same day.

But I've never seen a team come in for bowling in Bellevue, dressed to play softball, then race though their game to try and make a 9:30 softball game in Greenlake. By halfway through their second game, they were literally throwing the ball down the lane trying to get their game finished. Sure, they didn't win their game, and I don't know if they made their softball game, but you gotta reward that commitment to Underdog sports.

Sometimes we like to reward the silly at Underdog. Sometimes it's the silly costumes, unusual antics, and all around tomfoolery that put our leagues in its proper perspective. But sometimes we need to reward flat out good bowling. Zack, in rolling a 196 and 182, set the bar high for his team in leading them to a win of Here for the Beer! And even better, he did it while dressed up as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Turtle Power!

It happens so infrequently, that I often forget we have the rule. Our scoring caps at 205, but Brent topped that with a 216, leading his team to a win in the second game.

Honorable mention goes to:
Gretchen of No F in Strikes, who clocked in with a 198-her personal best, and the guys of Ninja Turtles, who not only work pink, they work pink tennis skirts. No bonus points for the constant Captain Morgan poses, though.

Longtime Big Turkey Bowling vets Mines in the Gutter were in a heated playoff run. They needed a victory to ensure a playoff spot. Shanna stepped up, and led her team in a 4-0 rout of Wednesday Crashers, and in doing so, made the playoffs. Can they break through and win a championship? Stay tuned.
