Fall Co-ed Softball at Lower Woodlands Thursdays

If underdog softball was the major leagues, Levi would have assured himself a golded glove this week. he covered a huge region in center field and had both an over the shoulder willie mays look alike catch and a beautiful diving catch on the hill in right field.

Jeremy was MVP in the game of the week. It was a low scoring hard fought game with a litlle bit of everything. Web gem plays and base running blunders, creating high drama with no clear winner until the last out. Jeremy hit a 2 run homerun in the bottom of the sixth to put the Habaneros up by 2 (8 to 6). In the top of the seventh Goulet looked as if they were going to come storming back with a lead off double. With a man on 2nd Jeremy picked up a hard shot to short pump faked to 1st drawing the runner off 2nd and tagging him out. It was the web gem of the game and took the wind out of Goulet's sails. Congrats to Legacy Flyin' Habaneros and Jeremy!

After taking a bad throw off her knee while covering home plate in what was becoming a close game, we thought she was thru. Being a diehard team mate and a little ice Robin toughed it out so her team would not have to play short. She came back strong going 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's and tough play in the field. It was a tough second game of a double header, but Robin led her team to a victory and a one game win streak heading into the playoffs against beating a very tough team (John L. Scott Lakesiders).
