'Serious on the wood' was all business, for the BTB Thursday night Sunset season opener. Their game was hotter than their bright pink t-shirts, crushing the competition with a final team score of 1298. POTW Mike Brunelle lead his team to victory with a strong second game finish, breaking the 200 mark and earning the much coveted prize coupons. This team is one to watch for, as they've already proved they are more than just pretty in pink!

It certainly looks to be a fun season and a good way to close out our time at Sunset Bowl (well, Iguess there really isn't a good way, but you know what we mean...). With a lot of familiar teams and competition, That's How We Roll is staking their claim early. Their two pincounts 661 and 634 have got to be some of the largest totals we've ever seen in single games. And they did it as a team, with everyone chipping in. Other teams; you're on notice!

Triple Penetration
After a slow start to the season for "Triple Penetration" Jennifer guided her team to a 3-1 victory over "Serious on the Wood." With a 193 in the first game and a 115 in the second, she helped her team more than double their total Statdog points and move up in the rankings. Way to go!

Bowling Stones
The Bowling Stones have been knocking on the door of greatness the past few seasons of BTB. If they keep getting performances like Emi Byrnes' one on Thursday night, they'll break right through the door into a full on home invasion. Emi started out decent with a 142 in her first game, but then went crazy, rolling six strikes in a row to finish with a 235 in her second game. WOW! Unfortunately, Emi could not be reached for comment after the game as she was busy crushing walnuts in between her biceps and moving objects with her mind.

It's lonely at the bottom, but it doesn't have to be. Safety 3rd may be in last place, they may have have misunderstood the theme nights and spent Thursday wearing large sombreros a week early, and Katie Testin may have gotten the lowest score of anyone this week... BUT, we decided to give her POTW anyway. Why? Cause we're Underdog, you goons! The folks who come out and give it their all each week just for the fun of it- that's what we're about! You want dominant competition- go watch a Nike commercial, because our better is worse than your better! Cheers, guys, we're saving a spot at the bar for ya.
