On his first night playing American Football, Hiren Shah made the play of the game by making a huge, game turning, interception. His interception helped Team Ramrod put the game out of reach for The Y Guys. Shah also chipped in with a PAT on offense.
On Tuesday night, The Y Guys came to their game with Wild Card ready for a true test. Their 32-27 victory is evidence of them passing that test and proving that they are true contenders. Leading the way for The Y Guys was Kyle McCormick. Kyle had two huge touchdowns that made the difference between victory and defeat.
When a player is so effective that he makes the defense key on him so much that it opens up the entire field, it can really make a difference. Gideon's Posse is lucky enough to have a player like that in Sean Linton. Sean's excellent offensive skills led the way for Gideon's Posse in a 30-6 win.
Marc Dahm was everywhere on Tuesday night for The Replacements. Marc did more to change his teams' fortunes than anyone else as he had three touchdowns in a 42-20 victory over Team Ramrod. The Replacements now look forward to the next few weeks as they intend to make a playoff run that will be remembered for a long time in USL folklore.
Will Robby become the next Wally Pipp to Bram Lee's Lou Gherig? That is the question that now surrounds current name (The Little Giants) as they head towards the playoffs. That question was spurred by a tremendous effort at quarterback by Lee, who had four touchdown passes, a length of the field TD run, an interception returned for a touchdown on defense, and a perfect 5 for 5 passes on two point plays. It'll be interesting to see who starts next week, but one thing is for certain, current name (The Little Giants) look like contenders either way.
In what was the ugliest day, weather wise, of the season, Greg Patzner played beautifully for Gideon's Posse. Greg's impact on the game came on both sides of the ball as he caught eight passes on offense, and made a huge interception on defense that clinched the game for Gideon's Posse. The veteran unit now looks ahead to the playoffs and they have to be feeling better about themselves by going into them with a win.

POTW: Steve Stimpson
96ers
The game between the 96ers and Gideon's Posse was definitely the most hotly contested game of the night. The 27-25 victory by the 96ers came down to several crucial moments and Steve Stimpson was equal to the moment, as he threw three touchdown passes and ran for one more. The win advanced the 96ers through to the next round and kept up their high hopes for a championship season.
It was a tough decision for the Statdog in terms of deciding between Jake Blackstone and Robby Gardipee for Player of the Week. By default, the award is going to go the quarterback, Robby. Gardipee led the team to two hard fought victories. In the semi-finals, they stumbled out of the gate and fell behind, but had a nice comeback in the second half in which they eventually pulled away for a 35-21 victory. In the championship, Robby recovered from being stopped in the first overtime period to throw the game ending touchdown in the second overtime. While Robby is the POTW, there wasn't a player on the team that didn't contribute on Thursday night, and The Little Giants won it all on a total team effort.
