First Place
Mike, a.k.a. "Meat" is what we in the bowling business tend to call a "ringer." He started off game one of week one with a 217 leading his team to a 3-1 victory over Gutter Ballerz. Also on the same team, Darren took the cake with number one finish in prize coupons for the week. As it turns out, their name may be indicative of where they finish. Hooey!

Bass Aakwards
Cynthia gets POTW for an array of reasons. She's number one in team spirit, she's a good bowler, and she's just pleasant to be around. Despite pulling her butt muscle while bowling her way to a 127 followed up by a 114, and despite the scoring machine constantly screwing up any opportunity for spares, she got her bowl on. Even though her team might be ranked #7 in the league, Cynthia is ranked #1 in my book.

Bustin' Balls on Big Racks
We actually have a dual POTW going on this week for Kelly Cronin and Annie Wilson. Annie's Bananie and Kelly's KAC punished the pins with their big balls. Annie bowled a personal best and Kelly bowled well above her personal average to lead their team to a 4-0 victory and back into championship contention after an upset last week. Woop!

Respect Me In The Mornin'
Kelly did everything right this week. She took four days off work to mentally prepare for Wednesday night's match. She also made sure to take a pregame nap and got some essential nourishment from Wedgewood Broiler. Coupled with lots of coaching from the bf and the perfect amount of tasty beverages so that she was riding the booze wave, Kelly was able to pull out a 146 followed by a 134. A large part of her motivation was found in winning her rubber snake, which she named Percy and made everyone pet for luck. Three prize coupons later, she led her team to a 4-0 victory bringing her team a little bit closer to playoff contention. Is that a snake in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

The Beevs
Perhaps it was sheer dumb luck that aided Chauncey in bowling a personal best game of 196 this week. Perhaps it was the arm and wrist strength he has gained while practicing Guitar Hero recently. Or perhaps in turning another year older on Wednesday, he also became wiser and more enlightened as it pertained to his bowling game. Whatever it was, it probably won't happen again. Fortunately for The Beevs, their play this season has put them into the playoffs, and at the number two seed at that. Tune in next week to see how they fare. Same bat time. Same bat channel.

I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter!
Jeff (aka Beef) was driven by beer, beef, and the girls who bowl on his team. He bowled a 207 while wearing his "Beav" tee shirt while playing the Beevs. It must have been lucky. There's nothing more to say. Beeeeef. It's what's for dinner.
