Jimmy is a fighter. He is also a dedicated bowler. Saturday was his birthday and the obvious choice for celebration? Using the free coupons to go practice up on his bowling game at Sunset. It turned into a big night out for Jimmy and he was able to battle through a hangover and the shame of not breaking 100 the night before to come back on Sunday with a 141 followed up by a 214 (we'll call it a 205). It was a special accomplishment for him. Happy birthday, Jimmy!

It's always tough to put up a great performance in a losing effort, but Dru Ernst showed that his team belongs in the top tier of BTB. Despite a close and tough loss to former champs Unusual Spare, Dru put up a stellar 205 in his first game followed up by a respectable 159 in the second. Keep on building, guys.

Courtney, a.k.a. "Spare" bowled herself from last week's 56 to a new personal best of a 122 this week helping her team clinch a victory in game 1. "It's been a constant improvement," she shared, "just take it one frame at a time." Not only is Courtney a bowling machine but she has pretty much the greatest name out there. I bet she's really smart too.

It was really a team effort on the road to the championship and no one person gets the credit. Everyone bowled consistently well and contributed to the overall team success. While the enthusiasm as it pertained to theme nights was slightly sub par, what really mattered were the scores. And score they all did. Nice work Unusual Spare. Nice work.
