Buzz Kill
Buzz Kill put up an impressive 47 runs in their doubleheader. Leading the charge was Brian Walker's mighty bat. In the first game he hit for the cycle, including a 3-run blast. The player of the game award actually went to his teammate Kevin, who also hit of the cycle...and missed hitting his second HR of the game by a mere inch.

And now back to our player of the week...

So, how did Brian improve in game 2? He hit a grandslam in the 4th.

Aluminum Falcons
Here for the Beer was hungry for a win but the Aluminum Falcons were up to the task of denying any chance for a win thanks to Joel Fernandez. Joel pitched a gem, holding Here for the Beer to just five runs, and then doing his part at the plate as well by scoring two runs and hitting a key double that helped propel the Falcons to victory.

On the backend of their double-header Ron Peterson provided 3 hits and 3 ribbies...which was difference needed to provide the Aluminum Falcons with a 14-11 victory. This was enough to help the mighty Falcons finish 1 and 1 for the night.

Ron also locked down 3rd base his with his defense.

In a two-game sweep in their double-header, Andy Shernoff did his part in both wins. In the first game, as pitcher, Andy held The Deuce to just three runs in an 11-3 victory. In the second game, Andy smacked a pitch into right field over the fence in the deepest part of the ballpark. It was quite a shot and quite a performance by Andy and the rest of the gang from TapouT.

Sam Larson pitched back-to-back complete games in the semi and championship games. Sam found a way to use wind a rain to his advantage on the mound. His pitches really danced all night long, often even looking like a knuckleball pitch.

He recorded 4 strikeouts on the night, including 3 K's in the championship game.

Finally he played some solid defense from the 1-spot.
