POTW: James Thurston
Snakes on a Lane
Wecan put James Thurston's bowling scores into numbers for you, but we prefer the more descriptive term "unbeatable" for them. James led his team in a clean sweep of their opponent, looking to establish his team as an early front runner in the league. James' secret is unknown, but it's rumored that he carries a small box full of essence of snake gut with him at all times. What he actually does with it, we're not sure.

POTW: Bronwen Douglass
Blue Moose Bowlers
After a sub-par first game score of 102, Bronwen Douglass knew she would have to step it up if her team was going to overcome a massive effort from Snakes on a Lane. In the second game, Bronwen did not dissapoint as she rolled a 200, leading her team to a decisive 4-0 victory.

POTW: Denny Mattison
Lickity Splits
Denny Mattison sealed up a victory for his team on Monday night. In fact he basically vacuum packed it. First he sucked the air out of the opposing team, then applied pressure on top of them in order to make sure it was gone. He then closed the lid on them and stored them in his pantry for as long as 3 to 6 weeks, noting that they might make a delicious snack in case of a blackout or an emergency. Denny also bowled quite well.

POTW: Crystal Hatter
I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter!!
Crystal Hatter was nominated by her teammates for POTW honors due to the spring in her step, the bounce in her bowling, and her overall super sunny disposition. One look and we could hardly disagree. Crystal is almost never without a smile on her face and is a staunch advocate of general good timey-ness. Congratulations, Crystal.

POTW: Erik
POTW: Erik
Lickity Splits
Erik came out of nowhere Monday night to do battle with one of the league's best. Erik and the Lickity Splits squared off against James and Snakes On A lane. And what a battle it was between these powerhouses of the pine. The Snakes got the better of the match, but the Splits managed to pick up a point due to Erik getting the better of James- by a total of three pins. In fact James and Erik had virtually identical scores (not coincidentally league highs) except for Erik's extra three pins in the first game, giving him totals of 174 and 185. Nice work, Erik.

Theme Night - Pirate Night
PLAYOFFS
POTW: Joe Carr
Blue Moose Bowlers
Joe Carr wasn't messing around Monday night. In fact, he wasn't messing around any night, as almost more than any other player in the league Joe wanted to be in the know about the scoring process, and who got what points. His interest paid off in a championship as he saved his best for last- bowling a 203 and a 170 across both games. Congratulations, Joe and the Blue Moose Bowlers.
