Fall Gentlemens Flag Football at Seattle Center Saturdays

It was a day of redemption for whatyoutalkinboutwillis. In their opening game of a double-header they came up short 26-20. In between games it was reported that they had some intense conversations about suring up their defense. Whatever they talked about sure helped as they pitched a shutout in the second game 14-0. Leading the way with three interceptions was Ben Suriano, followed bu Kurt Wisecup with two.

On a day that will be long remembered for great football games, Marc Anderson stamped his name in the USL record books by being the Player of the Week while leading the Fighting Amish to a 32-26 victory. The Amish had to hold off a furious rally by Strawberry Shortcake in order to secure the victory.

While it hasnt been the smoothest of seasons for Strawberry Shortcake, they have managed to scrape together a couple of wins that have put them in a good position to make the playoffs. This past Saturday, Andrew Will led the way in a 26-12 victory over Balls Deep. Andrew's defense along with key plays on the offensive end paved the way for the winners.

You could have chosen any number of the Lawn Wranglers for Player of the Week this week. There were outstanding performances by Alberto Rivera, Rob Wagner, Joe Woods and Chris Bendix, among others. However in the end, the honors went to Scott Geiger who has consistently made key catches on offense and countless interceptions and has been a consistent force thoughout the Lawn Wranglers run as Saturday League Champions.
