In the keynote game of the #3 Softball league in upper Queen Anne, Dana Anderson led Team Maverick over The Squeeze. Not only did Dana throw a seven inning shut-out, she also led the Team Maverick to the finals of the first annual USL Celebrity Texas Holdem Poker Tournament. That's where the celebrities from the various USL leagues get together to test their skills on the poker table. Just like her pitching performance, Dana aced her way into the big money round. Great job Dana, and remember you don't have to do everything yourself.

Gordon lead the 9-Ball team to two victories while hammering home runs all over the field. After the second game he then treated everyone with his own rendition of Sweet Home Alabama. This inspired everyone to go and drink over at Hoyt's and enjoy their nachos.

Chip commented, "My defense is on the rise, today a double play, next week a triple play, and the week after, I'm gunning for a quadruple play!". Apparently, Chip hasn't quite mastered this game as of yet.

On an extremely warm Seattle afternoon, one man stood tall and showed the fans in the stands what USL softball is all about. John went 5 for 5 on the day with 3 HR's and 2 triples. One of the homers had such power that it hit the fence in far left field. "I haven't seen such power since Mark McGuire retired....." That was a quote from Mariner broadcaster Dave Niehaus. After the game feelings were running high and the Bears completed that task that only one other independent team has ever accomplished. The indy team won the championship. When asked what made the season so great and how his team came together to win it all, Kevin stated, "Associate with men of good quality, if you esteem your own reputation; it is better to be alone than in bad company."
