Summer Co-ed Kickball at Ballard Boys & Girls Club Mondays/Wednesdays

Joe had great day behind the plate, consistently kicking the ball deep into the outfield. He had an in the park home run and a triple that cleared the bases racking up at least 5 RBIs in the process. He also played a vital role as the third base coach and had a great day in the field chasing every catch out of his area and securing outs left and right. However this was capitalised when he came to discuss with one of his teammates about an out call he was in conflict with. He backed the umpire even when it would go against the betterment of his team. This is not something you see often in sports and it displays a type of integrity that is cherished at underdog and much appreciated in all of life.

Nick was having a great day all around earning the nickname "Golden Boot" from his team due to the incessant barrage of bombs he launched from behind the plate. Leaving nowhere left for the ball to go but to the fence. Showering down destruction when kicking he seemed as though he would not stop and left his team a place at the top. A great day from Nick that kept his team in winning position all game.

Kelly is this week's Player of the Week for her determination and effort in supporting The Big Laballski's win. Down a female player, Kelly was behind the plate each inning and was a fair competitor, striking up conversations, cheering on her teammates and complimenting her competitors. On the offensive side of the ball, Kelly's bunt game was on fire and she ran out every bunt. She may have just been beaten to the first bag once or twice but had the admiration of her teammates and the rest of the field. Congratulations Kelly!
