Late Spring Co-ed Volleyball at Seattle Central Tuesdays

Kelli was a true X-factor in the front in her game this week. Proving the old adage that some people just have “it,” Kelli was on another level during her game. With swiftness and quickness, Kelli outran, outjumped, and outperformed the competition. She set her hitters beautifully, which paved the way for a successful offense For courageously coming out of retirement and gracing all in attendance with her natural athletic ability, Kelli is our Player of the Week. Congratulations!

Picture this... the match is tied 1-1, your team is down by 6 in game three, the clock is winding down, and you rotate into the server's corner. No pressure, right? Well, even is she was feeling some, Alyssa stepped up to the line and put together a string of serves that brought her team even... and then ahead of their opponent! It wasn't just consistent serving, it was hustle play after hustle play. This sports fan didn't just watch the end of court two, but got to experience Pop-up Blockers excitement and drive as they tried to take the W.

To set a ball - to bring a volleyball exchange into existence - a volleyball player must have a tremendous amount of wrist strength, focus, concept of space and time, and a keen understanding of the players on their team. Watching the sets roll off of Max Ozuna's hands was like watching butter drip off of a piece of freshly toasted french bread - what an amazing player to watch. For his stellar performance this week, Max is our Player of the Week. Congratulations, Max!
