Brendan Calton
Heads-Up Playing
This week, Brendan's situational awareness sealed the win for his team. In the bottom of the last inning, with one out, Fresh Kicks was nursing a one-run lead. Winning run at the plate, the batter kicks a fly ball far to center field. Brendan tracked the ball in the air, securing out number two, but then realized that a runner on second base did not tag up before advancing! Brendan hussled in from the outfield to record the game-ending double play. For his heads up play, Brendan is our player of the week. Congratulations!

Boelle Bangs a Big One
BEEF its Whats for Dinner
If you're asking wheres the BEEF.... Boelle has it. With the game on the line and it all coming down to a few runs, Boelle stepped up. She booted a doosy out into the outfield and with the help of a couple errors and some wise base running, made it all the way to home plate! she drove in to KBI's and took the lead with her score.... and they never let it go! Great kick Boelle.

Lauren Coombs
Team Mama
Lauren Coombs was a catching machine tonight! The ball seemed to go her way every other kick, but Lauren was up to the challenge. Her defense at first base helped her team to a 11-1 vitctoey. Nice work Lauren!

Amber Parsons
Alternative Kicks
Amber gets player of the week for this evening's game due to her AMAZING defense in the middle of Alternative Kick's infield. Amber caught everything that came her way. The most impressive of the night came in the third inning. The ball was hit pretty well and was sinking rapidly, but Amber calmly dove for it and got an arm underneath for an unbelievable catch. If she doesn't make that catch, multiple runs score on the play. Way to go Amber!

Katie Chiupka
Team Mama
Katie brought positive energy and reinforcement all day. You could see and hear her keeping her team up the entire game. On the field she had a couple huts and made a couple nice plays in the outfield. She really brought her all around game with her today and it definitely showed in her and her team's performance throughout the game.

Matthew Strum
Kicking the crap out of the Ball
With a dominanting performance this week Matt showed why he was the Player of the Week. Every he got up to kick it seemed like the ball just jumped off his leg. These were booming kicks that most kickball players hope to get one of when they are playing. To match his offense Matt was a wall defensively. Another great performance awaits us in the future I'm sure.

Tiffanie Hawkins
Team Mama
Tiffanie Hawkins gets our player of the week this time around for her very impressive catch in center field. With two on and two outs in the inning, one of Fresh Kicks of Ball Air's best kickers hit a rocket to center field. Knowing that she wouldn't be able to catch it straight on, she very wisely used a volleyballesque bump to slow down the ball while on the run and caught it, saving her team at least two runs!

Caley Rittman
SCI Solutions
This week we had a real nail biter at Cascade Playfield in the pouring rain, but there was a victor. Going into the bottom of the 7th inning the game was tied at 2 runs a piece and there were runners on base. It all came down to Caley who held the destiny in her at bat. The pitch came and she singled to right field which gave her teammate enough time to score from second base. Because Caley came up so clutch she has been awarded player of the week.

Lucas D
Thighrannosaurus Flex
Lucas had an amazing game defensively tonight from the catcher position. He used his great timing and speed to get multiple runners who laid down perfect bunts with ease, thanks to his speed. Thanks to his defense, thighrannosaurus flex was able to win a very competitive game. Nice work Lucas!
Cory came up huge for his team today. He hit a three run home run that ended up being the deciding runs in the game and also making a couple tough catches at short stop, including a diving one to end the inning and preserve the lead in the later innings. Cory had a great attitude and was joking around with both me and his team. There are rarely better days on a kickball field than the one Cory had today.

Ace on the Mound
This week, Reiner was a playmaking force for his team. While pitching, he made impressive plays, striking people out, fully extending for catches, and kicking well! The whole time, Reiner kept a smile on his face and encouraged his team. For adding value to the game in multiple ways, Reiner is our player of. The week. Congratulations!
This was Jim's last Underdog outing because he is moving to Korea to principle a school. And it was one hell of a send off. Winning the championship and making 0 mistakes on defense. Also sporting a crop top because he couldn't find his team shirt that was packed away. He really did come in clutch for his team. I know that his team is going to miss him but so are we here at Underdog.
