This week, our Player of the Week when above and beyond. Allan Carranza played on a dislocated toe. His dedication to his team numbed overpowered and he finished the game. On sitting down and noticing the dislocated toe, he took it like a champ as it was snapped back into place. Seriously an incredible feat, pun intended, by any means. His positive attitude and cheerful outlook embody the Underdog spirit. Keep kicking butt Allan!

Holy shmoolies! When playing beach volleyball, there are a lot of factors that increase its difficulty - sun, wind, rain, remnants of other people's bonfires... but I find the sand to be the most difficult aspect. It's as if every step is 7x more difficult to make. None of these factors (and we saw them all last night), affected Steven's effort.

I couldn't believe the running saves Steven made to keep that ball alive - we're talking about all out sprints 15+ft off court AND HE KEPT THE PLAY GOING!! Incredible hustle and effort make those rallies memorable. Very cool to see a humble athlete out there having fun with friends and being a great sport.
