Alex Siwiec
Struck by Whale
Alex S earns this week's Player of the Week award for his numerous diving catches. The man was catching everything hit in the vicinity of short stop and then some. He even caught a couple from the seat of his pants. With his POTW bonus clause in his contract, he might want to invest in some cleats to keep him upright. And maybe some sliding pants to avoid the grass burns. Well done Alex!

Cody Chung
Sensual Winnebagoes
Cody stepped up to the plate in almost every at-bat for one thing--a homerun kick down the left field line. While that didn't happen, he did come up big in both games of what ended up being a doubleheader and pair of opening night wins for the Sensual Winnebagoes. In game 1 he went 4 for 5 with 4 RKI and 2 runs scored along with some solid shut-out pitching. In game 2 he had a big 2-run double in the 3rd and a lead-off double in the 5th with 2 more runs scored. Maybe he didn't go yard but Cody seemed to have a good time and did help lead his team to 2 big wins. Nicely done!

Gina G.!!
Sensual Winnebagoes Star Gina G. Goes 3-4, 3Run-HR, 3B
Shoutout to Marisa Hann from Indeed (Orange team) because, it was a toss up for Player of the Week. Marisa went 3-4 and recorded the last out of the ballgame and won the game by securing the ball and stretching out to force the runner out at homeplate. Slightly more dominant was Gina G's effort, and that is just talking about her offensive performance. 3-Run homerun and a triple and 4RBIs and almost kicked for The Cycle! Wow. Congrats to both women. This weeks Player of the Week is Gina G. Kickball it up!

Jim Blue
Sensual Winnebagoes
Jim Blue lead the Sensual Winnebagoes to a decisive 8-4 victory on Wednesday. Blue patrolled left field like an all star. He registered several catches, setting the tone for his team on defense.

Michael Cohen
Saved by the Ball
Michael was sporting his plaid shorts and brought his 'A' game to Denny field on Wednesday night. His key moment came in the 3rd inning with runners on and he came through with a huge 2-run single. He took over as pitcher and rolled some stellar balls and, no, it was not his that were crushed at 2nd base. Michael had an excellent running catch in the 5th to end a rally and contributed another RKI single in the 7th but sadly, was left on base as the potential tying run stepped to the plate for the final out--just gonna have to bring it again next week!

Scott Owen
MG2 Ballbarians
Scott Owen turned in a masterful performance on the mound, leading his team a 6-0 victory. The Ballbarians scored all of their 6 runs in the first inning of the contest and never looked back as Scott mowed down kicker after kicker.

Struck by Whale Dominates
Struck by Whale put together an impressive showing on both sides of the ball. On offense they exploded for over 20 runs, while on defense they held their opponents to just 2 meaningless 7th inning runs. This team is firing on all cylinders heading into the playoffs
Corrine helped lead her team to the championship game with some great play on both sides of the ball in the semi-final match up with Struck by Whale. Her 2nd base defense was nothing less than stellar. She was able to extend her body and stretch to make several close force outs and kicked a huge run scoring double.
In the championship game, she continued her defensive prowess getting in on a key DP in the 2nd and making a nice line-drive catch to end a scoring rally in the 5th and keep the game close. She had a lead off double in the 4th but it was not enough and Corrine and Indeed had to settle for a well earned 2nd place league finish.
