Megan was the star of the week and earned player of the week. She led her team to a nice victory with her kicking and defense. Repeatedly, the other team kicked it to 'the girl in centerfield!' However, she proved that she was more than up to the task, thwarting their booming fly balls! She had some great kicks at the dish too. She was on base, it seemed, every inning and helped rally her team. Great job!
7th inning, Ross brought the business in a down poor of rain. Initially he thought he would only get a base run, but he soon saw opportunity. Ross was crazy alert with his swiftness as he achieved an infield home run!

Just Kicking it
Piedad definitely deserves the player of the week after the show she put on at second base. While battling the Seattle rain, Piedad covered the right side of the infield like a toupe on a bald spot, catching every ball hit her way (7 in all, but who's counting). She managed to upstage herself by completing an unassisted double play to end an inning. Job well done!

Brian Cornell was a star at the plate in the high scoring affair between his Sticky Fingers and Balls in your Face. Brian used his stellar kicking power to go 4 for 4 at the plate and superior defense at first to hold off the opposition from a late game rally.

Joe obtained numerous nicknames for his arm Thursday night, from "Cannon" to "Riflearm" and finally "Missile". These all seemed to ring true of his defensive play as he tirelessly threw runners out all game long. Joe was also instrumental on offense, smacking out four hits and staying perfect for the game. Great game Joe!

Where My Pitches At?
although Ken had two runs... that wasn't nearly as cool as what he did on defense. His teammate Amber made an attempt to catch a pop fly, and it ended up bobbling out of control to a near fatal drop. KEN! came to the rescue out of nowhere. It looked like a move out of Mission Impossible or 007. Ken comes flying in to catch it before it lands and tumbles into an impressive roll. Everyone take note of Ken Moe!

This weeks player of the week goes to Cathy Benson who made plays all over the field! Even though she was on the losing team this week her play was well above the rest. She made catch after catch, and moves on the field that should be represented by a sports agent! Great job Cathy and keep it up, it may be an olympic sport someday, and you are a guarantee!
Jaime has some major skill. Solid base running is one of these skills, but what really made every one take notice was her defensive work. Her new nickname should be "the magnet" short stop. Nothing went by her! nice work

Just Kicking it
It's championship time! and Joe came ready to play! He was hot at 3rd base on defense making solid catches. The highlight of the game was the final inning he made a catch at third and a throw to 1st for a double play. Sweet
Sweetest game ever for the mooseknucklers! Thanks to Erin, she assisted in some solid catches on defense, and offensively advanced her teammates by kicking the ball straight between the pitchers legs! Nice win Mooseknucklers
Just to clarify... Chris is the coach for Stinky Fingers, yet he immediately deemed himself player of the game... so its debatable how valid this is! (team mates wanted to ensure this was noted).
Chris had a solid play during the second inning. He caught a pop fly and then threw out the guy on first. After a while he was getting battered with pop flies in the outfield, but then he caught his groove back to help out his team. He also had a pretty sweet slide to third while on offense. Nice work Chris
