Winter Co-ed Dodgeball at Wallingford Boys and Girls Club Sundays

Week one's Player of the Week is awarded to Jon Fowler of the Bone Crushers. The Bone Crushers were slightly overmatched in their introduction to Underdog Dodgeball this Sunday evening, but they fought valiantly. Jon Fowler led his team, down 0-7 on an impressive defensive stand that sparked the Bone Crushers to win the next 3 games. Had they more time, they just might have orchestrated the greatest comeback in Dodgeball history! Congratulations Mr. Fowler!

Tied 3 - 3 and the deciding match before time expired her team was all knocked out leaving her against all odds. Beth dominated and took her team on her back, knocking out two people before a very intense head to head battle. It ended with a great catch sending her team to victory. Great job Beth you played great!!

Patches O'Houlihan always reminds us of the 5 dodgeball rules: Dodge, dip, duck, dive and dodge. If there was a poster child for rule abiding players at the Wallingford Boys and Girls club, your celebrity would be Sarah Loeffler. Congratulations goes to Sarah for earning this week's Player of the Week for her all around phenomenal play...whether it was throwing lazers at her opponents, dodging incoming attacks like Neo from the Matrix, or withholding John McEnroe blow-ups at the referee (although she does have a pretty intimidating glare)...Sarah demonstrated all the necessary qualities of a POW. Congrats Sarah Loeffler from team My Dixie Wrecked!!!

If they wrote the definition of team MVP Ian Caruso would be the model to follow. He came up big on all three matches played leading his team to a much needed and deserved championship. With the help of his teammates he has fueled the rivalary between his team and the Dippers. Great job Ian keep up the good work.
