Winter Midcore Co-ed Volleyball at First Baptist Wednesdays

Great things come in small packages. Staci Parlari, all 5 feet of her, proved that against the giants of Pandas+Rice = Love. This tiny firecracker had tons of assists, diving saves, and aces. However, she is our player of the week for her kills. Tips, dinks, full swings and well placed sets all fell hard and carried her team to 2 decisive wins. Staci made shorter girls everywhere proud!

Whitney earned player of the week for her performance at the net. Whether she was slamming overshot sets or blocking attacks, her presence was felt throughout the gym. Highlight of the evening: Whitney's teammates crying out "Let us play!" after her 4th or 5th put down in a row. Congrats Whitney and the rest of Happy Ending for 3 solid wins on Wednesay.

This week's high honor goes to Callie and the rest of Your Mom Plays Volleyball. Callie has been showing off her blocking skills and swinging away for kills. Your Mom as a team deserves special regonition for playing hard. Great serves, serious hustle, and amazing attitudes make Callie and her teammates players of the week.

Patti Anderson- 2 weeks in a row! She never stops working hard. Even after both matches going to 3 sets, Patti is smiling and hustling. The rest of her team deserves shout outs this week too. Joe- serving and playing great defense; Court- blocking, serving aces, and wearing a headband; Molly- so many digs and beautiful sets; James- awesome defense in the back row (especially from a tall guy) and great attacks; Sarah- jump serving and setting everything- what can't she do? Plus support from support from teammates temporarily sidelined. Go Pandas! Yippee Rice! and of course- we love the LOVE!
