Notes

First Place

Spring Co-ed Kickball at Ballard Boys & Girls Club Sundays

One kick wonders started slowly but ended by dominating this game with their suffocating defense scrappy offense. In the first, they got a run on an infield single and got a big double play on D. Close through 4 innings but in the fifth they got a big run scoring double, a sac bunt and a 2-run single to jump out to an 11-1 lead. Their defense continued throughout the game with the guy in the white shirt running all over the outfield making catch after catch. They finished by catching the runner between home and third for the final out in a hard earned championship victory.

Sunday, March 29

One Kick Wonders walks off in bottom 7th to victory!

Clutch sac fly is the difference

What a way to end it! After being down 4-0 to the Ball Kickers, One-Kick-Wonders scored the final 5 runs of the game and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to win in walk-off fashion. Matt R started the rally off with a booming inside-the-park-homerun to right field, then made a couple of awesome defensive plays to help keep his team in it. Adam C started the final rally in the bottom of the 7th by putting it all on the line, extending a routine single into a double and capping it off with a sweet slide to avoid a cannon from the left fielder. After a sweet bunt by captain Hadley, Graeme T lifted a ball to right field that scored the winning run in dramatic fashion. Congrats to One Kick Wonders!
