Dream Team started the season strong, winning their first two games. The third week was a hard fought battle against Dirty Dimjobs, with a necessary third place buzzer loss at 21-23. The next two weeks were 3-0 victories, only to end the season with another evenly matched game, this time against The BAdgers. The necessary third game ended at the buzzer with a loss of 22-24. Captain Eva got her team to believe in the dream when heading into the playoffs 4-2.
Dream Team cruised through the first round of playoffs, only to play Rabbatcat in the Championship Match. With points scoring back and forth, Dream Team pulled out wins in the first two games. Dream Team is the Champion of Fall Midcore 1 Volleyball at Seattle Central on Tuesdays! Congratulations!
Chase is no Rookie when it comes to Underdog Volleyball. He plays 4 nights per week and commits to every team in every game.
With killer hits and 110% effort on defense, Chase is a valued and respected member of his teams. He smiles after every play, and often can be seen congratulating his opponents on a good performance. Chase sticks around after each game to continue playing the game he loves, including subbing on teams in need.
Tonight Chase had great hits while setting his team up for success, which they achieved...twice. Dream Team dominated on Court 3 tonight with their silent but deadly weapon of Chase focused on the playoffs at hand. It's been a pleasure watching Chase this Fall, as he is a True Underdog.
Ryan is this weeks player of the week because of his humility. The man packs a punch in his hits and when asked who the player of the game was he said "the team." They were down in numbers and had to play with four and still came out with the victory. And I have to say his hustle and power had a lot to do with it. You're awesome Ryan!
Not only did Eva kill it in her games, but she also offered to stick around and play with the Indy Team the following hour! Without her, this team would've had to forfeit...Eva saved the day!!
Eva embodies the Underdog Way of sportsmanship and positivity! She truly is an Underdog!
