New Kicks on the Block left the field in new sweet threads as they left the park as the new champs. Going into the playoffs they had the number one seed and were the team to beat. Going up against HammerHeads who battled with them down to the end. New Kicks got an early lead and kept adding to it, making the score one sided and coasting to an easy victory, but HammerHeads had a different idea and put up late runs to make it closer. The score ended 13 to 10 as New Kicks had a controlling lead all game, made it fun for the final game of the season and let the Hammers nail a few. Both teams played solid, but only one team could be champs and that is New Kicks on the Block!
Emily O. is this weeks outstanding player for her mad skillz at second base in the Championship. Emily made some great plays showing off her great hands as she made out after out, bailing out her team-mates less then perfect throws. Emily had zero errors and did everything with text book form, except for one throw to the pitcher where she fell and skinned her knee, it happens. Great game Emily!
