Saints stay true to their name

The jumped out to an early 9-0 nothing lead. Even though the game was pretty one sides from the beginning they never were in your face about it. They kept great sportsmanship. When asked about the game one player said we just want to keep the game fun.

Jordan Comar- Player of the Week

Jordan C did it all on Tuesday to earn this week's Player of the Week award. He showed up a casual 5 minutes after the game was supposed to start, crushed a huge HR to start his team's scoring, made a couple of real nice defensive plays in Left, and did I mention just being an overall great guy? The Saints had a few worthy contenders, including someone who did a handstand after fouling out, but Jordan takes the cake this week. Congrats!

Luke Thevenet

In perhaps an Underdog first, Luke T crushed 3 over the fence home runs and kicked in 11 runs total to earn this week's Player of the Week award. Luke also contributed on the defensive side, pitching the first 5 innings, catching a couple of screaming line drives and even contributing a kick-assist to first on a well placed bunt. Congrats Luke and the Saints!

Paul F puts on a defensive clinic

The Saints may have lost the game, but they did in an excellent fashion. The score was 2-1 against them, but they had a 7 person team. Paul F was kicking outs to first, faking out runners, and directing double plays. Since he played like he was the three players he was missing, he is our player of the week. He did all this with a great attitude and while being attentive to his child on the sideline. Thanks for making the game fun and putting on a show Paul! Great job to both Sit on my Base and Saints for a spectacular opening day game!
