In the 12:30 playoff game Drunken Condors squared off against Ground Rule Trouble in what turned out to be the game of the day. Behind Genn Anderson's 2 doubles, 2 singles and an MVP type performance at 2nd base, Ground Rule Trouble was able to hold off Drunken Condors in a very close game to win 20 to 18. Both teams played their hearts out with awesome batting and defense, but in the end it was the defense of Ground Rule Trouble that held Drunken Condors to 2 runs of the 5 runs they needed to pull ahead and possibly win the game.
In the 2:00 game powerhouse TapouT faced off against #4 seeded Park Pub. Behind Luke's stellar day on the mound and 3 bombs, TapouT rolled 15 to 5 to set themselves up for a repeat league championship. Sporting a defense with no holes and power at the plate to spare, TapouT showed why they are the team to beat.
In the 3:30 league championship TapouT went up against Ground Rule Trouble in what turned out to be a 25 to 9 rout, TapouT proved once again that they are the team that all league teams must go through to win a league championship. Led by Jihan Anderson's 1 single, 2 doubles, 1 triple and outstanding play at 3rd base, TapouT proved once again that strong defense, communication and plate power wins champonships. Absolutely awesome display of softball skills.
Jihan Anderson's offensive and defensive performance in the championship game against Ground Rule Trouble was MVP like. She went 4 for 4 with 1 triple, 2 doubles and a single. Her defense at 3rd base was also stellar letting nothing hit at her through the infield and making it very hard for Ground Rule Trouble all day.
