Hits Happen won the league championship behind an offensive explosion on Thursday night. They won the first game of the night 30 to 10. In the second game they won by a score of 23 - 9. After scoring 53 runs in two games they faced a very good team, Balls of Steel in the Championship game. It was a tight, well played game through out but Hits Happen came out on top with a hard fought 11 - 7 win.
Danny had an amazing game going 4-4 with 6 RBI's including 2 doubles. He also made a great catch in the outfield sliding on his back, and reaching back on the wet field to snag the ball.
In a game that was very close going into the last inning, Luke Deryckx stepped up and led his team on an eleven run onslaught that proved to be the difference in a 18-7 victory. Luke also pitched a gem, holding Definitely Not Drunk to two runs (the other five were charged to another pitcher who will not be named). The highlight of the night was Luke's grand slam that went way over the wall in left center.
