History

In the year of our Lord, 1873, a small group of softball enthusiasts formed a softball team and for some stupid reason, called it the Slammers.

The name came to the captain Josh, who took it deep into the suburbs of Shoreline. And there it consumed him. The name gave to Josh unnatural gas. For 10 years it poisoned his mind, and in the gloom of Josh’s family room, it waited. Darkness crept back into the fields of the world. Rumor grew of a shadow in Left Field, whispers of a nameless fear, and the Name perceived its time had come. It abandoned Josh, but then something happened that the Name did not intend. The team got drunk, and decided to hell with it, we’re the Yodeling Pickles!
