Turduckenballs - Indy #2
This week we had a player with a story. Now this is not a story of bowling feats or even of spirited fun-ness, but this is a story of true Underdog dedication spreading across the world.

Once upon not long ago, there was a man who traveled all the land. He went far and wide in search of new cultures, great beer and possibly a new way of life. This man searched and explored for one year with only 5 shirts to show these new friends he made along the way. (We fear that he might not have made so many friends had a laundromat not been close on his every exploration)

When his travels led him to Malawi he found a gentleman selling teak toys and games and oh, how Andrew wanted one. He had nothing to barter, nothing to give and no money to buy this game with. The salesman was a smart sports enthusiast, who pointed to the shirt on Andrew's back... yes it was an Underdog Sports Leagues shirt. This man was willing to trade his hard-earned-hand-carved-teak-game for Andrew's well loved USL shirt. And he did it.

It is a true testament that the love of the USL shirt spreads all across this world!!

Cheers!

Spare it up!
In bowling, much like any sport involving finesse, form is everything. Some people kick their leg at the end of their roll, others bring their hand to their head to straighten their ball. Olivia takes the cake with her form. She has form that is part bowler, part yoga guru. Lovely and every time I see her I want to stretch and get a strike at the same time. Nice form girl.

Shout out to all the super spirited teams, if this is a non-spirit night I can't wait for big hat night coming up!!
Cheers!

Hole-y Rollers
Elsbeth had a phenomenal first game - coming into the 10th frame she had every frame closed out and it was a spare party with how many she had on the board! It was a stellar 169 to start the night and a solid 138 to round it out in her second game. She she came to play tonight!! Well done Elsbeth.

Shout out to all the hats! We had astronauts, cowboys, monkeys, ladybugs, and exotic football players who hunt! Nice work!!

Softies
The Softies have enthusiasm, it matches their determination, their spirit and... their neon pink shirts. I want to walk out of the alley with this team, who gave me a nickname I will never fully understand, for they have spirit that radiates for all to see and I know the cars wouldn't miss us with those amazing shirts.

This team has spirit and just plain look out for the other teams. The team is working on the other teams egos every week. In an interview with Jon, he mentioned that "we are working on making the other team look really good" If that isn't spirit of generosity and the spirit of the season I don't know what folks!

A couple things to know about the Softies.
1. everyone wants to do 2 things in this league: a. get some spirit points. b. Play against the Softies. *(they really are that much fun!!)
2. They are currently accepting applications for ringers.

Well done Softies!!
Cheers,
Donna

When Pins Fly
She hails from a great place, a place of water taxis and sandy beaches. A place of skyline views and mountainous sunsets; a place known as West Seattle!!

When she travels from this place to the far away lanes of Imperial, she comes for a reason and that reason is to bowl. Rolling in with a 285 to start her night she basically rocked the lanes!! Way to represent West Seattle! Well done Amber.

Kudos for the team shirts by the way. Perfect for mustache night. It was as if the night were designed for this team. Make sure to ask them about mustache mode!
Cheers.

Ninja Turtles
He led his team well. Zach held up a good fight last night, and it was clear that there will never be a no tap like this again. Every time I turned around this team had another 5 in a row. It happened once, it happened twice and in the first game it happened thrice, and their averages soared!

Well done No Tap champs!!
