Where to begin...

How to highlight such an amazing night?

Do we start with the lady who carried her team by "just getting lucky" with a 167 first game! -Nicely done Krystal.
Not to mention...
Twins, Ange and Andrea, who got the same score of 148?!
With the birthday celebration complete with cake and chocolate?!
With the opposing team members nominating their nemesis of the evening, Three Hole Special's team captain Jake, as the Player of the Week?!
Was it possibly the "Move to Strike" team shirts representing their day job--who needs legal advice... Imperial on Tues...

All it all it was an amazing opening night and one for the books!

Lots to live up to next week folks!
Cheers!

When Pins Fly
Tragedy struck Tuesday night at Imperial, as over the course of an evening, numerous innocent and unsuspecting pins were ruthlessly butchered by Amber Langley. 159 fell prey to her in the beginning, and then the massacre escalated with another 215 needlessly slaughtered over the second game. Our hearts go out to the families of these unfortunate pins, who really never had a chance against the cold-blooded Ms. Langley. An earlier report also stated that Ms. Langley was "setting the lanes on fire". If confirmed, we can add arson to the charges leveled against her.

Ball in a box
Yeah Ball in a box for coming up with their own theme night. While it left me a little confused in the beginning...it made complete sense! They had shirts offering prostate health advice, panda masks, bunny ears, Kentucky Derby hats, rainbow arm warmers, flower leis, boxers over warm ups, Sonics jerseys (tear), all in wall we were all wondering... what are you wearing?!?!

Shout out to Josh of When Pins Fly for his awesome second game!! Only one open frame the whole game! Nicely done!

The Three Hole Special
It seems as though the change of weather and the fact that it's getting darker earlier had a small impact on the Imperial Lanes Underdog leagues except for one shinning individual. I was never quite sure what team Erika was bowling with. This social butterfly seemed to drift from one team to another encouraging them on as she made her way from one end of the room to the other. I'm convinced that she would bowl with them all if she was allowed.

Ball in a box
POTW honors this week have to go to the birthday boy Scott Jahnke. Wearing his Minnesota Brett Favre jersey and his pajama bottoms, Scott fought through a haze of tequila shots and cupcakes to actually increase his score from the first game to the second and finish with a nice fat 200 on his final roll. Afterwards, CBS analyst Dan Dierdorf remarked "That's just Scott being Scott. He just loves the game. He's like a little kid out there."

Here for the Beer
Here for the beer had the game of the season on this Tuesday night of the 27th of October 2009!
It was a 9 pin No-Tap night and to this team that meant strike central. In the 3rd frame their streak got going and I was summoned with a question, "Does 5 team strikes still count for something?" Why yes it does!! And repeat 10 minutes later. They started the night with 10 team strikes in a row and it just kept going.... They were unable to lead out the no tap championship, and were short just one coupon, but this was bowling like I had never seen before!!
Nicely done!
