Summer Co-ed Kickball at Mountlake Terrace Wednesdays
Meagan has traveled a long road in her evolution of kickball. I remember the day she feared to even get dirty while playing.
Now she's a wily veteran, willing to sacrifice her body for the good of the team. From shortstop she lured kickers into hitting line drives towards her. Like a silent assassins, she destroyed opposing kickers egos.
On offense, she pestered Big Larrys' squad with deft bunts and experienced baserunning.
Lydia showed the poise of a seasoned veteran kickballer.
Her defensive catches caught the friendly cheers from both teams. On offense, she terrorized the Lagers with deft bunts and well placed ground balls.
Honorable Mention goes to Katie Graham of Big Tab for her patented "Inchworm" move to get back to second base after falling on her face.
Great job ladies!
Now John's game was really stellar, but there were a few instances of pure brilliance. Mainly of note is the fact he didn't break anything. As everyone on his team can attest to... this is a certifiable MIRACLE! Other than that John kicked the heck outa the ball, had a wicked double run that score 2 runs, and his triple axle was beautiful. Lauded by his players for that one. Great game John!!!
Todd was a hoover vac in the outfield Wednesday night. Whatever came his way he caught. This great defensive play kept his team in the lead and enabled them to come out with a win. Great defense!!
HR of the year... Nate's big boot came to play Wednesday night. Against B.I.G. T.A.B. Nate was up to kick, kicks it over everyone's head into center field... and it hits the fence. The teams go wild!!! Cheers and high fives all around. Both teams, including the ump, have never seen a ball go that far!!! INCREDIBLE KICK!!!
Ponzi came out in force to Wednesday nights game. In costume and great spirits the team took the field and right off the bat started scoring runs. The defense was ON the whole night as well. A great gamed played by Ponzi Scheme!!!
Cassandra had an amazing game on Wednesday. She had a double play that was absolutely amazing as well as some great kicks. The Lagers took the lead and the females had to perform a full kick. Cassandra's boot was off the hook!!! Everyone could tell she was an athlete, perfect placement, great distance, fast running. She had it all. Well done Cassandra!!

Ballzout
Lexi had an absolutely amazing game Wednesday night. Ballzout played a competitive Turd Ferguson in a friendly. And the rivalry between the two teams was great. But greater still was the rivalry between Lexi and Turd's catcher. He ruffled Lexi's feathers all game. She in turn retaliated by back kicking dirt. He followed with a witty comeback. But what really put him in his place was Lexi's amazing catch at SS, kicked by none other then the competitive catcher himself. Great friendly played and good nature rivalry!!
BJ was on his game Wednesday night. A black-hole at short stop, he caught anything going his way. He put the other team on their heels in a well-played championship match-up with Ponzi Scheme. It was a team win, with a few of them dressing up for the occasion. We had a toilet, Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and G.I. Jane. A great play by both teams had the Toilet up to kick with Maggie on first. He boots it over their heads and he goes... running like a faulty toilet runs, screaming at Maggie "RUN! RUN!" Maggie makes it across home plate, however in an amazing play by Bro the toilet is taken out at the last moment. Shout out to Ryan Bates and his follow through. Foot came over his head as his body hit the deck. Will never call a MAN BUNT on that one!! Lexi was there in all her glory as well!! Great kickball.
