50 Shades of Gatorade, Kickolas Cage III, Pitch, Please!, The Big Avs
Joshua Campbell
Pitch, Don't Kill My Vibe
What a better way to open the season than what Joshua did in the first game of the 3 game set?! With the score knotted at zero, Joshua came up to the plate a blasted a legitimate home run that if we were at a field with fences, it probably would have cleared it. And with giving his team a 1 - 0 lead, they would never look back after that moment. Not only was he monsterous at the plate, he quickly developed a reputation as a player, as you would hear shouts of don't kick it to that guy in right center, after he made a few difficult plays look routine. I think we are all looking forward to JC's follow up performance.

William Mitchell
The Big Avs
Finding his team down 4 - 0 in the early stages of the game, William (Will) got his team going in the 5th inning with a booming shot of a kick to clear the bases. Their rally would not end until his team found themselves on the better end of a 7 - 5 score by the time the 6th inning concluded. With his team clinging to the same 7 - 5 lead in the 7th and final inning, Will came through again in the clutch by completing an un-assisted game ending double play.
Play of the day! Jenn saved the day with an amazing, athletic catch in right field. She caught one of the deepest (yes, Colby one of them....not going to forget yours) kicks of the day that was sure to be a homerun. After that catch, all the players on 50 Shades of Gatorade went nuts and all the players on Pitch, don't Kill my Vibe jaws dropped!!! Never underestimate those sneaky right fielders!!! Great job, Jenn!

Mickayla Preston
The Big Avs
Pulling double duty on the evening was just the tip of the type of day that Mickayla would endure! Leading her team's defensive efforts as they secured a double header sweep was just a small portion of Mickayla's contributions. She was a terror at the plate and particularly on the base paths, as she took any and every extra base that she could. But what was most impressive was the play at first base where she was involved in a big collision and spill. But not to be deterred by it all, Mickayla bounced right up and kept on trucking. Most players would have been gun shy after such a "Train Wreck" but no, not Mickayla. She proceeded to make every play at first base from that point on. Great Job hanging in there, Mickayla!!!

Anthony Muck
We Like Big Bunts and We Cannot Lie! - Indy #K14
Anthony Muck! A fan favorite....and an ump's nightmare;) On Thursday at Ravenna, Muck came through in a big way for his team. One homer, a triple and a handful of defensive plays helped the We Like Big Bunts and We Cannot Lie come back from an 8 run deficit to cut it to 4. Even though the Indy squad lost, they were looking like a veteran team because of Muck's encouragement and game knowledge. Look for these guys in the playoffs!

Katie Beyer
We Like Big Bunts and We Cannot Lie! - Indy #K14
We can now call Katie the Wizard of Oz, as she reminded many of a young Ozzie Smith as she made play after play at Short Stop including a game ending double play where she had to make a perfect throw from Short to First to secure the out. Where as Ozzie was know more for his defensive efforts, Katie was also a monster at the plate as she reached base safely, every at bat!

We Like Big Bunts and We Cannot Lie! - Indy #K14
Katie Beyer wins player of the week for her stellar defensive and offensive skills. We like Big Bunts and We cannot Lie won their first game of a double header on Tuesday. The wins was in big part due to Katie's wonderful catches in the first inning. She continued leading the team by getting on base and scoring later on in the game.

Kristine Hanover
50 Shades of Gatorade
Kristine was a defensive wizard. And on a certain amazing play in left field while playing 3rd base, the ball was literally caught by the seat of her (Kristine's) pants. Not only was her athletic ability on display, but Kristine's kickball awareness was in tact as well... With a runner on 1st and her opponents threatening to score which proved to be a close game, Kristine having and ground ball kicked to her at 3rd base alertly kicked out a runner on first for force her out at 2nd. If not for the catch between her legs while she was falling backward earlier, this would have been the play of the night, easily. But wait, I'm not done... She also drove in the game winning run!

Andy Rekasis Smack 3 Triples, 1 Single, 4RBI
Pitch, Please! Handles The Big Avs
Pitch, Please! finished off The Big Avs just as sunlight diminished over Ravenna park field. 11-4 was the final score. In their 11-4 win, Andy Rekasis hit 3 triples (one with the help of the defense) and 1 single. Andy also led the way for his team with 4RBIs. For all the games Tuesday (3 games), Andy's hitting was the most dominant and led his team to a win. For the stats mentioned above, Andy Rekasis is this week's Player of the Week.
Trippin Balls forfeited to We Like Big Bunts and We Cannot Lie! - Indy #K14.
More Fun forfeited to Fresh Kicks of Ball Air.
Matt Prewett
Defense for the ages!
Throughout the whole game Matt Prewett was a beast on the defensive side of the ball. Catch after catch seemed to be made by Matt and it was a very dominant performance. This is the type of form you want to be in during playoffs because it will propel Matt and his team to victory as they make their run to the top!
Rikickulous came charging out of the gate trying to put the game away early. Led by the boot of Anthony, they racked up 4 runs in the first inning. As his team ran away with the game, Anthony put up some amazing numbers. Finishing just a single short of the cycle, Anthony easily earned Player of the Week honors.
Tom was consistent at the plate as usual, batting his customary 3 for 4 and being a terror at the plate. But where Tom truly makes his mark on the game, is defensively behind the plate. In the world of kickball, there are too many individuals that impacts an opposing team's strategy, but Tom does just that. With his ability to pounce on balls and make effortless throws, ladies from other teams think twice about bunting and therefore have been taken out of there game. Pitch Please rode Tom's efforts all the way to a 3-Peat title.
