Worse Than We Look
Welcome to the Show team Worse than we look! Brian gets POTW this week for his sheer wit and candor. The whole team had the Big Turkey/Statdog laughing all night! The first ticket of the entire season was handed over gladly to Brian for knocking down all the pins, again and again. I would like to mention the best pre-bowling ritual of the night, Cash owned it! Ichiro should be taking notes! I have been informed by my sources that the team Worse than we look has been known to step up at crunch time, so watch out Wednesday Imperial teams, this is a team that might just pull a sneak attack in the playoffs!

Theme Night - Grab Your Most Ridiculous Lid
POTW: Erin Belling
POTW: Erin Belling

First off I would like to say that Erin is clearly the leader in the strike category. Not only can she bowl that straight ball more consistently than I have ever seen, but it is a princess ball to boot! We will talk more about her later....stay tuned...

Tonight the POTW is a little different, and I would like to start this awards ceremony with the 'Most Improved Team': Worse that we look not only took their bowling scores up a notch but their spirit was through the roof, and they had a parental fan club! There was so much cheering it was hard to hear the pins falling--which they were!

Pins down like ROAD KILL is the team that is 'Most Likely To Coach a Bowling Team for Kids'. Not only are they a team of bona fide educators but they have great spirit for all around them, and they had big hats to spare.

'Most Likely to Own Their Own Ball/Shoes' at the nd of the season goes to the Ball busters. They were rolling those lanes like professionals and the leader of the pack last night was clearly Alexandra. Nice work guys!

'Most Likely to Host the End of Season Bowling Party' is Dialed In. What can I say, people just want to be around them, they have extra players every week, hanging out just in the hopes that they might be able to hit the wood with these guys!

The team 'Most Likely to Make a Championship Sneak': Osama Pin Laden. they may seem chill and relaxed, some may even say stoic, but do not be fooled, these guys came to play and the prize tickets seem to migrate that way...this is really one team to watch!

Now, back to our Player of the Week. Erin, also known affectionately as Viper, was schooling people on her turkey dance. She is showing promise of a championship W! Did I mention her straight ball?! She has teams from other lanes watching her when she hits the wood, and as all those pins fall...a "VIPER" rings out among the crowd!!!

Congratulations to all the recipients on this Wednesday April 15th 2009! Well done!

POTW: Ball Busters!
POTW: Ball Busters!
Pins down like ROAD-KILL
It's a bowl off! Everyone. It's a bowl off!!

People will be talking about this night for seasons to come. I have never seen anything like this in all my seasons of Bowling. A BOWL OFF!!!

Last game, tie score, one bowler, one ball, one chance to break this tie!
Gman (Greg) steps up to the lane, sets his sights on those pins and throws a curve ball down that lane, the ball grasps on to those outside boards, it looks like it might all be lost, and at the last second it curves in for a picture perfect strike. The ball Busters rejoice and breathe a sigh of relief.

Dawn Marie is waiting patiently observing and ready for the challenge; she had proved herself over the course of the night with a 143 and 142. She is getting herself situated, rolls a ball down that lane while breath is held all across Imperial...it looks perfect, it sounds right, and then that tricky little 10 pin didn't budge.
It was all over for Pins Down like ROAD KILL and Ball Busters will take the win tonight.
In the post bowl off interviews Coach Brad said that "It looked so good, I said 'she's got it!'; and if we had to do it over I would put her out there again" I love the confidence. Dawn Marie said that if it were to be done all over that she "wold love to go one more." I think I smell a challenge Ball Busters...what do you say?!?

A shout out tonight to Michael from Worse than We Look; he bowled his first ever 100 and when asked how it feels he stated that he "likes even numbers!" Welcome to the Game Drillomatic, welcome. ring ring, I think that one is yours.

Theme Night - Ninja Night
POTW: Brad McClure
POTW: Brad McClure
Pins down like ROAD-KILL
McNinja was in full force last night!! Brad was so decked out I have never seen a better looking Ninja - head to toe! Had it been a darker night we might not have seen him walking in the parking lot, it could have been a hazard. His nunchucks were pretty serious and I hope that he made it home safely, he would have a hard time explaining his getup to an officer or even grocery clerk.

A major shout out to the whole team of Worse that We look! They managed a feat of bowling that I never would have expected week one. I don't know if it was the energy in the alley or the ninja outfits, chalk it up to Ninja skills, but the team worse than we look was rolling those strikes--5 in a row!! They got a shout out over the loudspeaker and even had players coming from the other end of the lane to see what all the commotion was about. A big THANK YOU from the Statdog for my present you gave me last night...most creative set of nunchucks I have ever received. Cheers!!

POTW: The men!!
POTW: The men!!

**Caution**Men at Work**

Last week the women of Poppycocks were talking about holding tryouts for the male positions on the team or even having women dress up like men to take those male gender spots.

This week, the women were more than pleased with the male performances and called off the recruiting event.

In a much anticipated match up between Poppycocks and Ball Busters the men secured a W for the Poppycocks in their first match with their steady rolls and strong bowls.

Way to go men. Get ready for the championship!!! The big leagues are on the way!

It is ladies night! Oh what a night!!

The women of Poppycocks came to play. Clearly ready to destroy the competition and show the men on their team what they are made of. Megan, Erin and Katie all brought their A game to the championship evening, and it showed throughout the games and at the prize table! In the first game Katie tied for the high score of her team with a 155, and Erin followed not far behind with a respectable 143.

In the final game of the season, these ladies came to play! Megan wiped the boars with a 180!!! While Erin held her own with a 167, bringing their total pin fall to a 900 for the championship game!! While Dialed in looked like they were giving Poppycocks a run for their money, these women were not to be stopped!

Congratulations Poppycocks!!!
